Easy (no knead) Artisan Bread

If there’s one thing I can’t resist, it’s a warm, crusty loaf of bread fresh out of the oven. There’s something so comforting about that golden crust, the soft, airy interior, and the smell that fills the kitchen. But I’ll admit, the idea of making bread from scratch used to totally intimidate me. All that kneading, proofing, and hoping it turns out right? No thanks.

That was until a friend of mine shared a recipe that completely changed my mind. She introduced me to the easiest artisan bread recipe I’ve ever seen, and let me tell you—it’s a game-changer. This bread has that gorgeous, crunchy crust on the outside and a perfectly chewy, soft interior. The best part? It’s ridiculously simple to make. No fancy techniques, no special tools, and no endless hours of work.

Since discovering this recipe, I’ve been baking bread nonstop. Whether I’m making a sandwich, pairing it with soup, or just slathering on some butter, this bread has quickly become a staple in my kitchen. And honestly, I’ve never felt more accomplished—or more in love with baking.

If you’ve ever been curious about making your own bread but felt overwhelmed, this is the recipe for you. It’s perfect for beginners and will make you feel like a total pro. So go ahead, give it a try, and fall in love with bread just like I did. You won’t regret it!

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Cups of Flour (We use King Arthur bread flour but AP works too)

  • 1 packet (2tsp) rapid rise yeast

  • 2 tsp of Kosher Salt (adjust down if using table salt otherwise it will be extremely salty)

  • 2 cups of warm water

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast and salt and then add the water to dry ingredients

  2. Mix well until all the flour has been fully blended. Note: The consistency should be wet but not runny. (Adjust with additional water or flour as needed to reach the desired consistency)

  3. Once combined, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let dough rise for 2 hours our until it has doubled in size

  4. 30 minutes before dough is done rising, preheat oven to 450 degrees and place Dutch Oven inside

  5. Once dough has risen, remove from bowl and place on a lightly floured surface. Fold the sides inward (this can be done with a food scraper, spatula or other flat utensil) to shape the dough into a large circular like shape. (This does not have to be perfect!)

  6. Flip the dough over onto parchment paper, seam sides down (don't worry if it didn't hold its shape)

  7. Carefully remove the Dutch Oven from the stove and place the dough (with the parchment paper) into the pot and place the top on.

  8. Cook for 30-35 minutes

  9. Remove the top and cook an additional 12-15 minutes or until bread has reached your desired crispiness

  10. Remove from oven and let sit for 10-15 minutes

  11. Enjoy!
